The 1908 is overpriced when compared to high-horology alternatives that for the most part offer mechanical watches at this price range and the price is justified by the hand made finish, accuracy tend to be good but rarely there is a claim on that regard for them. I bought the 14270 as it was a sport watch that I could stretch to more formal and the 1908 seems like its gemini twin.a dress watch that can flex towards sport. Basically, do you think the 1908 would be less fussy than the PP/ALS if worn a good bit? It's sold already. But 100% I promise you 1908s have hit the US. My impression was that it was quite thin for a Rolex. Movement was nicely decorated. Not a watch that personally excites me (just prefer other brands for dress watches), but it is very nice.
